The Freshmen 50 is an independent Political Action Committee (PAC).  We are unaffiliated with any political party, group, or lobby.  Our sole mission is to put

50 NEW FISCALLY AND LEGISLATIVELY RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS INTO THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IN 2010.

And we will remain true to our mission.

Too many politicians too often represent the interests of the government over the interests of the people and remain unaccountable for their actions.  There is now a clear and present danger to the future of American prosperity and governmental integrity by an ideology that advances the notion of ever-expanding central bureaucratic authority.

Should we continue down this path, we will find ourselves in an ever-deepening economic sink-hole without many of the freedoms Americans have enjoyed for so long and for which Americans have fought so hard.

Forget parties, politics, or pet issues.  This is where Americans need to focus right now.
